This resort is small in size (Don’t be fooled by Google maps!) and located on the top of hill and isolated from the rest of Munnar.The major demerit is you have to spend extra one hour in commuting to travel destinations in Munnar.
Coming to the Reception and house keeping team,I must give them 10/10 rating.Room service was quick and there was no delay throughout the stay.We had a small 2 year old baby with us and they provided us with a early checkin despite coming 4 hours early to resort.The reception staff made an extra effort to provide the hard copy of First flight certificate to our baby for which I will be lot of grateful!!

We booked 3 nights stay at Amberdale. This hotel is located above a small mountain and was covered in fog when we arrived. We received a warm welcome from the staff. They offered lots of complimentary and paid in house activities as part of stay. Food was also really nice. 2 things I wish to state here about our stay in this hotel are:
1. The view - Exceptionally good view from Anantha Premium Valley room. Our room was located in the first floor, and I had certain doubts about the views when i came to know that our room was in the 1st floor. But we were blown away by the majestic view from our balcony. It was truly mesmerising.
2. Behaviour of Staff - All staff were very polite, nice, helpful & well mannered. We really enjoyed our stay in Amberdale.

Amber Dale Hotel gives a new meaning to the phrase 'home away from home'. The staff ere really warm and courteous apart from being professional and efficient. The hotel is designed aesthetically and with an amazing degree of focus on guest comfort.
The USP of the place however is its fabulous location. Tip : opt for valley-view rooms. The balcony looks out onto a beautiful valley spread out beneath you, surrounded by ranges of mountains with clouds playing amongst them. It's mesmerising and one can spend hours, just soaking in nature's amazing bounty.
A shout out to some of the staff who made our trip really memorable - Mr. Shinto, Mr Jagan, Ms Kala, Ms Pratiksha, Mr Anksuman & Chef Bipin.
I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to spend some quality time in Munnar.

Located on the top of hills, our room had a beautiful and picturesque view of valley from balcony. Even the famous Idukki dam can be easily seen from the balcony. Staffs are good and of very pleasing behavior. Excellent room service and assistance from them. Room has a mini bar and food was above averaged. Hotel has spa and gym facilities. Other amenities include table tennis, carrom, fuzz ball and chess. There was an evening cooking demo session and a morning trek conducted as complimentary. Resort is located very near to Pallivasal tunnel. It is over 1km away from main road and the sign board is very small that it is not so visible. This pocket road to resort is not big but not that bad though. Resort can been easily seen and identified from very far itself.

We stayed here for 2 nights and they had an entire day itinerary to keep their guests entertained which we loved.
Our suite room was huge with modern amenities & a gorgeous jacuzzi offering a mesmerising tea plantation view from the balcony .
They had various activities on offer like live cooking which my kids tried, coffee session which my wife enjoyed a lot, spa, gym which I availed and hi tea at their terrace with local delicacy, piping hot tea and misty weather.
They also have an indoor play room where you can play table tennis, carrom, chess and foosball.
Their restaurant offers ample indoor seating with veg and non veg menu in both Ala carte and buffet .
We also cycled around the property as the weather was pleasant so do try.

Pros:
1. Awesome location - The hotel is facing a tea estate. Excellent place to chill, trek, take pictures.
2. Excellent rooms - We booked a standard room, it was spacious, clean and cozy, with all required amenities available.
3. Hotel staff was very helpful and polite to us.
4. They have activities like tea tasting, cycling etc.
Cons:
The only cons I found in this hotel was the restaurant.
1. Food taste was not upto the mark and worth the price paid.
Food taste was mostly bland.
2. Restaurant service is very slow. It took around 30 min to deliver a food order.
3. Very limited food options in the menu.
4. The morning breakfast buffet was not upto mark and had less options compared to other hotels which offer better breakfast at lesser price.

Our stay at this property was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, especially Ms. Preethi and Mr. Shajan, who were always available and attentive, making sure every aspect of our stay was perfect. All staff members were very hospitable & courteous!
The property itself is stunning, offering breathtaking views that instantly made us feel relaxed and in tune with nature along with some interesting activities & experiences. The highlight, though, had to be the food – it was absolutely delicious! Each dish was packed with rich, authentic flavors that left us looking forward to every meal.

The Premium Valley View room we stayed was comfortable with great view. Could see workers lucking tea leaves in the morning too. The staff is extremely attentive and willing to help at any time. Our bed was decorated with towel swans and flowers (complimentary) when they got to know it’s our anniversary. Exceptional hospitality. We joined the soft trekking activity led by Mr Rajen who explained many things in detail along the way. All in all we are more than satisfied and will return to place with our family in future.
The lift is a little confusing as the fourth floor is below the ground floor. A mirror at the writing desk would be helpful for ladies during make up. A handheld shower would be very useful. But still its one of the best accommodations we’ve stayed.

Amber Dale Resorts offers an unforgettable stay with its breathtaking valley view — waking up to misty mountains and drifting clouds feels magical.
We stayed in the Madhura room, and it was worth every penny. Spacious, elegant, and designed to highlight the scenery, it truly felt like a private haven in Munnar.
The spa treatment was an experience in itself — deeply relaxing and rejuvenating, it elevated the stay beyond just a getaway and made it truly special.
The candlelight dinner is also a must-try. Romantic and thoughtfully arranged, it creates a beautiful memory to take back home.
The food is average, but the room, the view, the spa, and the overall experience more than make up for it.
Would I return? Absolutely — for the room, the views, the spa, and the memories.

Wonderful stay at Amber Dale
Pros
1. Hotel room and lobby were clean and tidy.
2. The room service was exceptionally fast. All the staff members (especially Mrs Sindhu at reception desk, gate security staff, gate manager) were very polite, eager to help and knowledgeable.
3. This resort is located at a good height in Munnar. The location gives us a very good and pleasing aerial view of tea plantations and valleys. We could experience the passing clouds and mist at such heights.
4. Bicycle route was very scenic.
Cons
1. The vegetarian food options can be improved.
2. There was light smell of egg/non veg food in the main dinning area.
3. The road leading to hotel is pretty narrow and has plenty of potholes.
I would highly recommend this hotel for a short family/friends visit to Munnar.

Place to experience Nature and pamper yourself. One of best and Hotel in Munnar.
Stay: Pleasant and delightful. Rooms are well maintained and properly sanitised.
Staff: Very courteous and always ready to extend help for your needs.
Food: Chef and Restaurant staff are very welcoming. Must try there Dinner buffet and Candle Light dinner with Valley View.
Location: Remote and with well connected road. Hotel has Best view of Munnar.
Can you see Entire Valley and on other side you can view Mountains.
Rooms: Since our request was last minute we got Superior Room which was awesome. However i would recommend to Book Valley View Room or Madhura Suits to experiences the best.
Must try the Morning Activities like watching Sunrise, Cycling, etc.

What a stay...woww..
They really make you comfortable, warm welcome, smiling faces.
Starting with Breakfast they serve varieties with good taste. Staff is very sincere and cooperative.
For lunch and dinner the menu is fixed with sufficient variety.
The good thing is the chef comes himself to review customer satisfaction. On my part the best thing is they served us tea specially only for us after dinner on our request without a slight disapproval. Just they should start one more evening snack along with banana fritters.
Rooms are big with excellent view (prefer valley over mountain view)
From bedsheets to toiletries everything was perfect.
Smooth check in and check out.

Rooms overlook the valley and it’s. Great experience waking up to misty tea gardens . Neat well maintained facilities. Rooms are spacious and private balcony is perfect to enjoy a cup of tea, taking on the peace and quiet.
Food quality is exceptional. Restaurant team makes an effort to speak to each guest and cater to any custom needs you may have. Breakfast and dinner spread is good, spanning both South Indian, North Indian and continental delicacies.
The Ayurveda spa on site provides an exceptional experience. Well trained , very polite , knowledgeable staff . Services are great value for money. Special mention to Nitin who listened to the exact problem areas and addressed them during treatment.
Overall a highly recommended stay for couples and families alike.

We had a truly wonderful stay at the hotel. Everything about the experience was perfect — from the cleanliness to the luxurious room setup. The view from the room was absolutely breathtaking, something we will always remember. The jacuzzi was a fantastic addition and made our stay even more relaxing and special.

The whole experience was smooth and trouble-free right from the tele booking by Jofna till check out. The staff were very welcoming and attentive to our every need. We had booked 4 rooms for my family, parents and in laws. The view from our Ananta rooms were absolutely amazing. The food by Chef Shiju was delicious. Ala carte was suspended due to the CNG shortage, but the restaurant crew Fathima was able to accommodate our special requests. I would also like to mention Rajan who took us out for a morning soft trek and Dr. Arya and her staff Nithin for a rejuvenating experience at their Spa. Overall the stay was really pleasant with wonderful views, great food, courteous staff at a premium property for a reasonable price.

We had a very pleasant stay at Amber Dale Luxury Hotel & Spa. The property is well maintained, neat and clean, with a beautiful view from the balcony that really enhances the overall experience.
The food was also very good, with a great taste and quality that added to our stay.
What truly stands out is the team. A special mention to Sameer, who was extremely friendly and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. We also appreciated the support from Abhirami, Simran, Athira, and the rest of the team, everyone was helpful and courteous.
Service was prompt and efficient. Any request made to reception was handled immediately, which reflects a strong commitment to guest satisfaction.

From the very first moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and a delicious cup of hot ginger tea.
I enjoyed my stay immensely.
The food was fresh, tasty, and nourishing. My room, clean, spacious, and comfortable, overlooked green valleys and misty mountains.
I must say that living among the clouds for three nights, along with watching the morning sunrise from my balcony every morning, was joyous.
What makes Amber Dale truly five-star is its charming and professional staff. Nothing was too much to ask. I felt valued and cared for throughout my stay and beyond. The hotel FoH kindly arranged for a taxi to take me to the bus station. The taxi driver was asked to wait with me until I boarded the bus. Such kindness and consideration will never be forgotten. I look forward to returning.

We had a fantastic time staying at Amber Dale Resort in Munnar. The location is absolutely stunning waking up to the valley view each morning was one of the highlights of our trip. The surroundings are lush and peaceful, giving you a true taste of Munnar’s natural beauty.
The staff at the resort were warm, courteous, and always willing to help. The rooms were well-maintained, and the overall atmosphere of the resort was very calm and welcoming.
A special mention must go to the food and the executive chef Mr. Shiju & his team. Every meal was thoughtfully prepared, with fresh ingredients and authentic Flavors. The chef clearly puts a lot of care and passion into the dishes; it made dining at the resort a real treat.
Overall, an amazing stay. We’ll definitely be recommending this place to friends and family.

Excellent hospitality. Well maintained rooms, On time service, Extra activities like cycling (free of cost), Trecking (free), gym (free)bonfire (free), Spa (charge), Massage (on charge)are also available. They offered Welcome Tea also complimentary refreshing drink before dinner. All the Staff were very polite and best at their service. Delicious breakfast with multiple options were available. Staff Sindhu was very humble and welcoming. Mr.Rajan (who is a part of Amberdale from last 10years)took us to trecking and because of him we could experience the heaven like views. Our was Ananta room with a wonderful balcony view. We experienced sunrise and sunset from our balcony it self... Wow. Really really the best decision to select this hotel for our stay in Munnar. Thanku Amberdale for such a comfort stay. Keep it up.

I have stayed at so many hotels in Munnar. This was on the top of the list of best stays ever. The atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. The ambience of the restaurant is remarkable and the restaurant staff Mr. Bankar deserves a special thanks.The breakfast and dinner buffet was delicious.The room was wonderful, clean and with a fantastic valley view.Staff was incredibly helpful, extremely friendly and treated us like family,especially Mr. Shyam- a true sample of excellent hospitality.
Amberdale is a perfect property for a memorable vacation with your family and friends.During this post pandamic situation also you can stay here without any fear. They are keeping all the protocol insisted by the government.

I visited the place in December 2024 and it was a great stay.
We had booked a plantation view room and the sunrises were breathtaking. The service provided by the staff from the time you enter the lobby to when you exit is tremendous. Special shoutout to Ms. Sheetal. There are a lot of activities provided by the hotel. We had gone for a couple of treks guided by Mr. Ranjan and they were incredible. He was very knowledgeable about the area and the locals too. Must try activity.
A couple of downsides. Adjoining rooms have doors between them (if you book two rooms you can have a connection) but this caused an issue on sound proofing. The spa isn't the best, we've had a better spa from Thekkady.
But overall we had a great stay. We had no plans when we came to Munnar but we enjoyed a lot before leaving.

First and foremost, the staff were exceptional. The executive chef personally called us and asked if he could make anything for us, even if it was not in the menu, and his cooking was exceptional. If you choose stay here, definitely ask for Chef Sajeesh, because he creates some of the best pasta I've ever tasted.
The location is amazing and is upon a hill top. I'm pretty sure that this hotel has the best view in Munnar and you can see even the Idukki dam from the place. The hotel has some of the best staff I've ever encountered and they were ready to cater to our every single need even without us asking.
Brilliant view, excellent rooms and definitely a beautiful experience.
Definitely the place we'd choose if we go to Munnar again.

We stayed here for two nights and our stay was super awesome ! Their Premium Valley View room (Ananta) was very spacious and gave amazing views of tea gardens.
Very nice hospitality. Staff was courteous and very humble and helpful.
Restaurant had wide variety of food in Breakfast and Dinner, this included delicious veg and non-veg food both.
Road to reach this hotel is little tricky and narrow since its not well developed, but needs travel from Tea Gardens that makes it beautiful.
This hotel has a Restaurant, Luxurious Spa, Recreation centre, Health Club and open terrace on third floor where bonfire kind of activities are available daily.
Overall I would recommend staying at this hotel with family and friends ! Keep it up !
